Job Description
- You will be working as an Assistant Manager in the Component Development (Sourcing Department) at KYOCERA AVX Components (New Delhi) Pvt Ltd. Your primary location will be at Building No. 410, Sector-8, IMT Manesar, Haryana - 122 050 (India). As part of a Production Company specializing in Electrical Engineering, you will be working with a team of approximately 220 employees.
Your role will involve managing and optimizing procurement processes with a focus on supplier relationships and sourcing strategies. You are expected to have a strong understanding of technical requirements, negotiate contracts, resolve issues, and ensure continuity in the supply chain. This position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with experience in technical procurement to contribute to the success of the business.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing the purchasing process based on sales and production plans, including sourcing activities, supplier selection, and contract management.
- Conducting RFQs, benchmarking, awarding, price negotiations, and budget preparations for material content.
- Developing and maintaining supplier relationships, actively searching for new suppliers, planning audits, and supplier development.
- Implementing Terms & Conditions with suppliers, ensuring legal compliance, and conducting annual price negotiations based on forecast volumes.
- Collaborating with internal departments (Quality, Development, Production, and Plant Management) as a key decision-maker in sourcing committees.
- Analyzing savings opportunities, negotiating terms, and optimizing material and logistics costs.
- Ensuring supply chain continuity by engaging with the market and addressing strategic shortages.
- Leading procurement for awarded categories across multiple locations, ensuring data accuracy in SAP/databases, and monitoring key KPIs.
- Conducting cost analysis, supplier evaluations, and tool inventories.
- Overseeing change management (ECR), project work, and commercial handling of complaints.
- Ensuring compliance with company quality policies and objectives towards suppliers.

Key requirements for this role include:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in economics or engineering with a focus on purchasing, logistics, materials management, or a related field.
- Experience: 10+ years of professional experience in purchasing within the automotive or commercial vehicle sector, technical background in plastics injection molding, experience in commercial negotiations, and supplier management.
- Knowledge: Advanced knowledge in MS Office, SAP knowledge is a plus.
- Skills: Strong negotiation skills, synchronization with external suppliers, strong English communication skills, ability to manage change of priorities for multiple projects.
- Attributes: Proactive, results-driven, focused on business development, team-oriented, adaptable, strategic in business growth.
