Job Summary
We are looking for a highly experienced professional with 12+ years of expertise in the automotive industry. The ideal candidate will focus on new business development and nurturing existing customer relationships while handling various aspects of project execution. The role combines strategic sales, client engagement, and market analysis to drive growth and ensure successful project delivery.
Responsibilities
- Focus on new business development (70%) and existing business management (30%)
- Build and maintain relationships with customers, promoting new products
- Identify and acquire new customers through techno-commercial discussions
- Develop RFQs, quotes, and proposals for both new and existing customers
- Collaborate with project managers from initiation to execution
- Negotiate with customers on material cost fluctuations and update POs
- Monitor competitors market activities, including product innovations and pricing strategies
- Provide accurate forecasts for the current year and next five years, and coordinate with plant PPC for timely deliveries
- Follow up on overdue payments and have direct experience with top automotive customers like Hero, Honda, Suzuki, Yamaha, Volvo Eicher, Ola, Ather, Ashok Leyland, Daimler, or in the commercial vehicle sector
- Education:
- Bachelors degree in engineering, economics, technology or related field (Masters preferred)
- Experience:
- 12+ years of relevant experience in sales and marketing within the automotive or commercial vehicle sector
- Practical experience in developing a new business and project collaboration
- Proven experience in contract negotiations and customer relationship management
- Knowledge:
- Familiarity with customer relationship management
- Understanding of market trends and industry dynamics
- Forecasting knowledge to provide accurate sales projections for the current and future years
- Skills:
- Strong negotiation skills
- Skills in customer acquisition and long-term relationship building
- Strong English communication skills, both written and spoken
- Attributes:

- Customer-focused with strong problem-solving abilities
