Job Description
Essential Job Duties
- Provide direction and oversight to cross-functional staff in the End-to-End delivery processes of various applications across Clinical Development Services (CDS) and Late Phase & Commercialization (LPC) Business Units.
- Facilitate the timely project delivery of internal applications and upgrades across all CDS and LPC with the use of Release Management oversight.
- Facilitate cross-functional collaboration with all Corporate IT departments to encourage synergies of data integrations across clinical applications (Data Standards, MDM, Xcellerate, TIBCO, DCT, SnapIot)
- Oversee the smooth delivery of Study Setup and User Access Administration across various applicable clinical applications in CDS and LPC for internal and external use.
- Oversee the successful delivery of Business Development and Customer Project Management efforts across client/sponsor applications for systems supporting LPC.
- Ensure Business Analyst and Business Process Analyst are aligned in processes to support applications across CDS and LPC.
- Ensure IT Requirements align with Business requirements to deliver the Design, SIT / UAT efforts in the delivery of application releases and upgrades across CDS and LPC.
- Provide solid and streamlined Business Process and IT Support processes across clinical applications in both CDS and LPC.
- Support Internal and Client Audit findings
Experience
Minimum Required:
- Demonstrated knowledge of clinical research processes, IT Application development and regulatory requirements.
- Ability to understand large complex processes with a focus on continuous improvement
- Expertise in the overall systems processes and business impacts of the process
- Very strong technical and analytical skills
- Strong networking abilities and an ability/willingness to work with individuals globally
- Possesses demonstrated ability to supervise others, either directly or in a project matrix scenario.
- Proven track record of leadership
- General knowledge of applying continuous improvement tools to business process improvements
- Demonstrated ability to handle multiple competing priorities effectively
- Excellent communication, planning and organizational skills
- Ability to lead and motivate teams to seek solutions and get results
- Strong abilities to negotiate and liaise with sponsors in a professional manner
- Strong computer skills with an ability to understand and access and leverage technology across the clinical trial spectrum.
- Minimum of 6 (six) years relevant clinical research experience in a pharmaceutical company/CRO, including hands-on managerial/leadership experience.
- Minimum of two (2) years managing or leading key business transformation projects using technology (i.e., CTMS, eTMF, or application implementation).
- MS Office Required 5+ Years
- Global Project Management Required 5+ Years
- Business Process Management Required 5+ Years

III. Education/Qualifications/Certifications and Licenses
- University/College Degree (preferably postgraduate degree) in a life science, technical or business administration discipline.

- Thorough understanding of global drug development and the clinical trial project management process
- Good understanding of the technology components that support the clinical trial process
- Thorough and practical working knowledge of ICH-GCP Guidelines, including relevant international requirements/guidelines for the conduct of global clinical development programs
Preferred
- Strong analytical and interpersonal skills who can mobilize, grasp complex systems and processes, and design and implement process, system improvements with urgency.
- An understanding of Labcorp procedures, including Standard Operating Procedures.
- Six Sigma experience desired.
- Experience with Change Management process work, including working knowledge of Kotter’s Model.
