Job Description

    The Assistant General Manager of Human Resources (AGM HR) plays a crucial role as a strategic and operational leader within the organization. Your primary responsibility will be to drive HR initiatives that are in line with the business objectives while creating a positive work environment for all employees. This role involves overseeing essential HR functions such as talent acquisition, employee relations, performance management, organizational development, and compliance.
    In your capacity as the AGM HR, you will collaborate with senior leadership to develop HR strategies that are aligned with the organizational goals. It will be your responsibility to create and implement policies and programs that enhance employee engagement and retention. Additionally, you will analyze HR metrics to gain insights and make recommendations for organizational improvements.
    Managing talent acquisition and workforce planning will be a key aspect of your role. You will be required to oversee the end-to-end recruitment processes to attract top talent and collaborate with department heads to plan and manage workforce needs. You will also ensure that the onboarding processes facilitate a smooth integration of new hires into the organization.
    Employee relations and engagement will be another crucial area where you will be involved. You will act as a point of contact for resolving employee grievances and workplace conflicts. Moreover, you will design and implement employee engagement initiatives to cultivate a strong organizational culture. Conducting periodic employee satisfaction surveys and taking necessary actions based on feedback will also fall under your purview.
    As the AGM HR, you will manage the performance appraisal process and provide guidance to managers. Developing frameworks for career progression and succession planning, identifying training needs, and coordinating professional development programs will also be part of your responsibilities.
    Ensuring HR operations and compliance with labor laws and company policies is essential. You will be responsible for maintaining accurate and updated employee records. Leading organizational development initiatives, including change management efforts, job evaluations, and fostering diversity, equity, and inclusion within the workplace, will also be part of your role.

    To qualify for this position, you should hold an MBA/PGDM in Human Resources, Organizational Behavior, or a related field. A minimum of 7-15 years of HR experience, with at least 3-5 years in a leadership role, is required. Demonstrated experience in strategic HR management, execution of HR initiatives, and knowledge of labor laws and HR compliance requirements are essential.
    The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership and interpersonal skills, exceptional problem-solving and decision-making capabilities, and the ability to handle sensitive situations with confidentiality and integrity. Proficiency in HR software and analytics tools, excellent communication and negotiation skills, and a preference for English language proficiency are desired.
