Job Description
Job Responsibilities
This individual will leverage strong expertise in mentoring and assisting team to perform computation flow dynamics, with high learning agility and with effective collaboration, he/she will contribute to development of reactor modeling team and enforces methods, policies, procedures, and productivity standards.
- Accomplishes group objectives by managing staff; planning and evaluating group activities.
- Prioritize projects and monitors from initiation through delivery including planning and directing schedules and reviewing CFD analysis results.
- Hiring right and diversified talent for the team and assimilation and mentoring new team members
- Maintain effective communication with team and leadership team
- Work with team members on individual development plan and assist them to achieve it, define SMART goals for team deriving from Annual operating plan. Performance Management and development discussion with team
- Participate in design review meetings, ensuring completion of the project i.e. results on schedule and with highest fidelity.
- Drives productivity of the group by monitoring and reporting KPIs and driving necessary actions to address any gaps
Other Job Responsibilities
- Work with engineers from various Business Units to solve Fluid Dynamics Models of complex reactor systems with and without chemical kinetics for flow, thermal, chemical reaction and mass transport problems and then proposes appropriate design solutions
- Mentors/Assists Modeling and Design Engineers to solve design issues by simulating the physics of the problem using Computation Modeling techniques
- Initiates development of new methods of modeling to understand complex physics and simulates semiconductor process like thin film deposition/etch
Minimum Qualifications
- M.S./M.E./M.Tech in Mechanical or Aeronautical Engineering with minimum 8 years of experience (Manager of CFD team for minimum 2 years )
- Strong expertise in Computational Fluid Dynamics modeling using commercial packages
- People management skills to set SMART goals and review performance against goals. Compensation plan bounding to guidelines, giving and receiving feedback.
- Engineering judgment and creativity to solve complex problems, validate model accuracy, and determine appropriate actions.
- High learning agility to quickly pick up product knowledge, domain knowledge and software tool expertise to mentor reactor modeling team
- Strong interpersonal skills to build effective relationship with local and global stakeholders, effective communication skills to be successful in matrix organization
- Experience in diplomatically handling high pressure situations, asking right questions to get critical information, and steering the discussions in right direction
- Interaction with cross functional technical and leadership teams and assist team by removing roadblocks

Preferred Qualifications
- Use of modeling tools like Fluent/CFD Ace
- Sound knowledge of semiconductor wafer processing equipment and plasma physics will be added advantages
