Bringing together its customer, it has played a vital role in connecting and networking with government authorities, body associates and corporates which has helped L&T grow its businesses for more than 2 decades now. Accordingly, the Management has suggested following changes with immediate effect:

Purpose of the Role

Support the Area Manager in strengthening customer engagement, government liaison, business development, and office operations while developing capabilities to independently manage a DMN office in the future.

Key Responsibilities

Stakeholder Management

• Build and maintain relationships with government officials and strategic customers.
• Coordinate meetings and follow up on action items.

Business Development

• Identify and pursue new business opportunities for all L&T businesses.
• Generate leads, arrange customer meetings, and support business conversions.
  
• Maintain regular interaction with government departments, PSUs, consultants, and key customers.

Market Intelligence

• Track upcoming projects, policy developments, and investment opportunities.
• Prepare market intelligence reports and business updates.

Business Enablement

• Support L&T businesses in customer engagement, tender follow-up, and issue resolution.
• Coordinate visits of senior management.

Office Operations

• Assist the Area Manager in administrative, liaison, and licensing activities.
• Ensure timely reporting and documentation.

Leadership Development

• Learn all aspects of DMN operations.
• Be prepared to independently manage a DMN office when required.

Desired Profile

• Graduate/Engineer/MBA preferred.
• 10 – 12 years of experience in Sales, business development, marketing, liaison, or government relations.
• Strong communication and networking skills.
• Willingness to travel extensively within the assigned region.
• Self-driven with strong interpersonal and relationship management skills.

• Quality of market intelligence.
• Timely completion of licensing and liaison activities.
• Readiness to independently lead a DMN office.

This role creates a strong bench of future Area / Branch Managers while allowing existing Area Managers to spend more time on strategic business development and customer engagement.
