As an Assistant Management Accountant, you will be an integral part of the Le Boat finance team, which is spread across the UK, Germany, France, and Ireland. You will be involved in all aspects of accounting for our operations in Germany, Holland, Canada, and Belgium, including management reporting and analysis, VAT accounting, and tax reporting. You will work with both the Le Boat finance team and wider Travelopia finance function, the operating bases and managers, and local accountants
What you will be doing:
As an Assistant Management Accountant for Le Boat, you will support reporting and control for our German, Dutch, Canadian, and Belgian entities. You support the full P&L and balance sheet. You will be responsible for:
- Monthly reporting and analysis, to include but not limited to:
- Variance analysis against budget and forecast;
- Preparation and posting of accruals and prepayments,
- Bank reconciliations,
- Cash Billing posting & reconciliations
- Posting cash and other journals as vital,
- Complete balance sheet reconciliations and review of peer balance sheet reconciliations;
- Ensuring compliance controls are in place and adhered to;
- Working with base managers to understand the cost base and to control costs;
- Other projects and ad hoc work as required.
- Significant prior experience in preparing and analyzing monthly results
- Hands-on experience in Balance sheet reconciliation, Accruals, Accounts Payable, and intercompany
- Strong in Advance Excel(V lookup, H look up and Pivot/formulas)
- Good knowledge of financial control and ability to ensure processes are in line with a good control environment;
- Happy to be hands-on but with the ability to look at the bigger picture and sophisticated group structures;
- Problem-solving proficiency, and critical thinking
- Collaborate with teams and be positive-minded, and well organized
- Superb communication in verbal, written, and e-mail form
- Proactive in finding solutions and happy to take ownership
