The Enterprise Functions Technology (EFT) group provides technology solutions and support for Risk, Audit, Finance, Marketing, Human Resources, Corporate Properties, and Stakeholder Relations business lines. In addition, EFT provides unique technology solutions and innovation for Wells Fargo Technology, Enterprise Shared Services, and Enterprise Data Management. This combined portfolio of applications and tools are continually engineered to meet the challenges of stability, security, scalability, and speed.

Compliance, Legal, Audit & Regulatory Technology (CLAR) provides technology support and development for Legal & Data Controls, Compliance Risk & Audit, Financial Crimes, Front Office and Second Line Risk, Employee Compliance, Regulator Regulations, Market Surveillance, and Regulator Change Management.

Regulatory Relations Technology has embarked on an ambitious Risk Transformation program and as part of that we are looking for a Lead Software Engineer who will be part of the platform development team and be responsible for assisting with developing an enterprise platform that manages user business processes, supports reporting and analytics.

We are looking for an Application Engineer with experience in design, development of enterprise systems, handling high volumes of data. The candidate would design and implementation solutions to support our clients. Technology toolkit involves RDBMS tools (SQLServer, Oracle), middleware services (Java/J2EE, Spring, Kafka/JMS), User Interaction (Angular). The candidate will work closely with the Corporate Risk Governance organization in building and supporting an enterprise platform.

In this role, you will:

• Lead complex technology initiatives including those that are companywide with broad impact.
• Act as a key participant in developing standards and companywide best practices for engineering complex and large-scale technology solutions for technology engineering disciplines.
• Design, code, test, debug, and document for projects and programs
• Make decisions in developing standard and companywide best practices for engineering and technology solutions requiring understanding of industry best practices and new technologies, influencing and leading technology team to meet deliverables and drive new initiatives.
• Collaborate and consult with key technical experts, senior technology team, and external industry groups to resolve complex technical issues and achieve goals.
• Works closely with peer developers to ensure requirements and functional designs are translated accurately into working technical designs and that automated test plans and scripts meet customer needs. 
• Works with developers and business partners to understand application defects, performance problems and data anomalies.

Required Qualifications:

• 10+ years of overall experience in Software development in Java Full Stack Technologies with hands-on experience in implementation and delivery of web and windows based application
• Experience in designing/developing Banking applications is desirable.
• 4+ years of experience in design and architecture of large-scale application
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
• 5+ years of experience analyzing requirements and designing new solutions for application and database components.
• 3+ years of SQL development
• Experience with source code repositories like GIT
• 
  Experience in Agile based delivery and tools like Jira

Server Side:

• 7+ years of Java experience
• 5+ years of Spring Boot, Spring Batch & Microservices experience 
• Solid understanding of the object-oriented programming concepts
• 2+ years of JPA/Hibernate experience.
• 2+ years working with JUnit & Mockito

UI:

• 3+ years of JavaScript Frameworks experience (Angular)
• 3+ years of experience with HTML, JavaScript, and CSS
• 2+ years of interfacing with Microservices & JSON
• 2+ years working with Jasmine and Karma for unit testing.

Database:

• 5+ years of data modeling experience
• 5+ years of experience with data analysis and documentation
• 5+ years of experience writing relational database queries for stored procedures, query optimization and performance tuning.

Desired Qualifications:

• 2+ years of compliance and regulatory systems experience
