This multi-faceted position is a hybrid between a business and financial analyst, which requires strong organizational and project management skills. The position works closely with the Credit Reserve Director and is responsible for providing organizational oversight to orchestrate the end-to-end quarterly CECL (“Current Expected Credit Loss”) reserve reporting process. Responsibilities include liaising and coordinating across multiple departments of the Bank to ensure that the CECL reporting process adheres to the strict quarterly timelines and the reserve documentation is managed to a professional standard. This role will interact closely with the CECL modelling team, the SOX control, Data Operations, technology and the finance teams of the Bank. In addition, the successful candidate will also be required to work with the Bank’s portfolio data and the CECL platform technology support teams. As such, knowledge of programming, database query skills and any knowledge/experience with financial control is beneficial.
The roles will be dynamic and will enable the successful candidate to gain first-hand experience applying their skills to oversee Bank’s credit reserve calculations, to help interpret the results in a business context as well as provide exposure to the Bank’s executive leaders. Ideal candidates for this role will have 3+ years relevant consulting and/or industry and functional experience. This position requires working independently with minimum supervision under aggressive timelines in a fast-paced environment.
Required Education And Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education

  • 3+ years’ experience with a financial institution, risk management consultancy/software vendor, audit firm, or national regulator

  • Experience with designing and creating Business Requirements Documents, User Acceptance Plan, End User Guides are a strong plus.
