Job Description
- Leapstart School of Technology is an industry-integrated, experiential learning platform that revolutionizes the way engineering students acquire technological skills. As a Full Stack JavaScript Developer at Leapstart School of Technology, you will be responsible for leveraging your expertise in React, Next.js, and Node.js to develop scalable applications. In addition to your development tasks, you will play a crucial role in mentoring interns and leading them through modern JavaScript development practices.
Your primary responsibilities will include leading squads of 15-20 interns by conducting daily standups, code reviews, and mentoring sessions. You will train interns on JavaScript fundamentals, React, Next.js, API integration, Git workflows, and deployment best practices. Moreover, you will guide interns through hackathons, buildathons, and project showcases to foster innovation and hands-on learning experiences.
To be successful in this role, you should possess a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science/Engineering or equivalent experience, along with 2-4 years of hands-on experience as a Full Stack JavaScript Developer. Strong expertise in React.js, Next.js, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Vercel, and Ubuntu/Linux is essential. Proficiency in JavaScript (ES6+), modern React hooks, API integration, and mentoring experience are also required. Excellent debugging, problem-solving, and communication skills are highly valued.
Preferred skills include prior teaching, mentoring, or training experience in a tech environment, exposure to DevOps, security, or applied AI, experience in presenting demos or running project showcases, and a background in startups or EdTech.
