For The R&D/BU Expense – CA Industrial TraineeThis position will assist the BU Finance Manager and the R&D Business Operations team with the short- and long-term planning processes for our research and development (R&D) organization. The key objective is to ensure the global R&D budget is allocated across all areas based on our portfolio roadmap.Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
- Assist the Global R&D finance leader for the Mobile Business Group
- Co-work with the R&D Finance organization on all activities related to the annual plan, forecast and accounting close activities.
- Focus on reporting and analysis as it relates to onsite labor, prototype material, Tooling, NRE and Occupancy.
- Partner with the BU Expense team to identify cost reduction opportunities and improve efficiency.
- Prepare monthly and quarterly financial reports as required to measure spend by product and by function.

- Track, analyze and report on R&D investments, specifically ROI related to investments.
- Responsible for R&D Finance Dashboards.
- Ensure the right controls are in place to reduce the overall risk for Motorola.
