Job Description

Job Title: Category Head - (Beauty, Baby care, Health categories)
Location: Dubai, UAE
Role Overview
We are looking for a data-driven and commercially savvy Category Head to lead the mentioned categories for our e-commerce platform. You will be responsible for driving category growth, assortment planning, vendor management, pricing, promotions, and inventory optimization, ensuring a best-in-class product selection and shopping experience for our customers. This role is ideal for someone with deep knowledge of health and fitness products, strong analytical skills, and experience managing high-growth e-commerce categories.
Key Responsibilities
Category Strategy & Growth
- Define and execute the category strategy for categories, aligned with business goals.
- Identify growth opportunities, high-demand products, and trends in the GCC and global markets.
- Analyze customer needs, competitor activity, and market trends to refine assortment, pricing, and promotions.
Assortment & Product Management
- Own the product catalog, including SKU selection, prioritization, and lifecycle management.

- Collaborate with suppliers, brands, and distributors to expand assortment and negotiate favorable terms.
- Ensure product content is complete, accurate, and optimized for search, SEO, and conversion on the platform.
Pricing, Promotions & Inventory
- Develop pricing strategies to maximize margins while remaining competitive.
- Plan and execute promotional campaigns in coordination with Marketing and Onsite Merchandising teams.
- Monitor stock levels, forecast demand, and coordinate with Supply Planning to ensure optimal availability.
Analytics & Performance Tracking
- Track category performance using KPIs such as GMV, revenue, margin, sell-through, stock-outs, and conversion rate.
- Conduct regular analysis to optimize assortment, pricing, promotions, and marketing investments.
- Generate insights for leadership on category trends, competitor performance, and market opportunities.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with Marketing, Onsite Merchandising, Product, Supply Planning, and Data teams to align on campaigns, content, and sales initiatives.
- Coordinate with Tech teams to implement category-specific features, filters, and site enhancements.
- Collaborate with external partners, influencers, and brand representatives to support launches and promotions.

- GMV & Revenue Growth: Achieve target revenue and growth for the category.
- Margin Management: Maintain or improve profitability of the category.
- Assortment Health: Optimize SKU coverage, new product introduction, and slow-moving stock.
- Conversion & Engagement: Increase conversion rates, add-to-cart rates, and basket size.
- Supplier Performance: On-time delivery, quality compliance, and fulfillment reliability.
Required Skills & Experience
- Min 7+ years of experience in category management, merchandising, or product management in e-commerce, retail, or FMCG.
- Strong understanding of Beauty, Baby care, Health Supplements, Fitness products, or adjacent categories.
- Experience managing product assortment, pricing, promotions, and inventory for online platforms.
- Excellent analytical skills with proficiency in Excel, SQL, and BI tools (Power BI, Looker, Tableau).
- Strong negotiation, vendor management, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to translate market trends and customer insights into actionable business strategies.
- Experience in e-commerce marketplaces or high-SKU online platforms.
- Knowledge of regulatory compliance for supplements and health-related products in UAE/KSA or GCC markets.
- Familiarity with digital marketing, paid campaigns, and onsite merchandising best practices.
- Experience in cross-functional leadership and project management.
