About the Role: Liminal Custody highly experienced and strategic legal professional for our India legal operations. Candidates will have strong experience in handling Litigation, Indian VDA regulations, Cyber security laws, regulatory experience and coordination with LEAs. A critical part of this role involves proactively managing interactions and coordination with regulators and LEAs and ensuring compliance with local laws and regulations.
Responsibilities

• Lead all legal matters in India, including regulatory, compliance, and litigation and LEA.
• Represent the company across all legal matters involving government bodies or quasi-judicial authorities.
• Draft, review, and negotiate complex contracts, vendor agreements, and MoUs.
  
• Manage and respond to notices, inquiries, and requests from Indian law enforcement agencies and regulators.
• Monitor regulatory developments and advise the business on potential impact.
  

Desired Candidate Profile

• LL.B. or LL.M. from a reputed Indian law school with 12+ years of experience.
• Strong experience working with Indian law enforcement and regulatory bodies.

• Deep understanding of Indian legal landscape, regulatory frameworks, and judicial processes
• Prior experience in tech, fintech, or highly regulated sectors is preferred.
• Strong understanding of Indian legal and regulatory frameworks, Familiarity with VDA, cyber fraud, online financial crimes, KYC/AML regulations, and digital transaction security.
