Lotus Herbals - Legal Role - LLM/LLB

About the Role:

We are looking for a dynamic and experienced legal professional to join our in-house legal team. The role involves managing end-to-end legal and regulatory responsibilities for Lotus Herbals, ensuring compliance with industry standards while supporting cross-functional business units.

Key Responsibilities:

Contract Management:

- Draft, review, and negotiate a wide spectrum of commercial contracts including vendor agreements, influencer tie-ups, marketing collaborations, distribution agreements, NDAs, and joint ventures.

Regulatory Compliance:

- Ensure ongoing compliance with applicable laws and regulations including Drugs & Cosmetics Act, Legal Metrology, FSSAI, and consumer protection laws. Stay abreast of advertising standards and regulatory updates.

Intellectual Property:

- Assist in trademark filings, oppositions, brand protection, and managing infringement actions in coordination with IP counsel.

Dispute Resolution & Litigation:

- Respond to legal notices and consumer complaints. Coordinate with external counsels on litigation and arbitration matters.

Corporate Governance & Secretarial Support:

- Work closely with the Company Secretary to manage statutory compliance, draft board resolutions, maintain minutes, and support ROC filings.

Internal Legal Advisory:

- Provide sound legal counsel to internal stakeholders across marketing, HR, sales, R&D, and other business functions to proactively mitigate legal risk.

Risk Management & Audits:

- Conduct periodic legal audits, implement standard operating procedures (SOPs), and devise risk mitigation strategies.

Desired Candidate Profile:

Education:

- UG: LLB (Any Specialization)

- PG: LLM (Law Preferred)

Experience:

- 2-5 years of relevant in-house legal or law firm experience, ideally in FMCG/consumer brands.

- Strong exposure to contracts, IP, regulatory frameworks, and litigation management.
