Westpac_ETL Data Engineer (Palantir)_Bangalore_Immediate Joiners

Project Description:

Weve been engaged by a large Australian financial institution to provide resources to their FRTB Market Risk project.

Joining this program you will have the benefit of working with an established client team, fully involved in the project initiation through to project implementation. The role will focus on building out the Palantir setup related to the new requirements around Capital Markets (Market Risk, Credit Risk, etc.).

Responsibilities:

You will be a Data Engineer with ETL, Python, and, ideally PySpark experience.

The work will focus on implementing Palantir Foundry logic based on existing Palantir patterns and leveraging Python and PySpark.

- Work closely with clients to understand their requirements and design solutions that meet their needs.

- You will develop new data pipelines & support existing code and ETL pipelines.

- Optimize data processing systems for performance and scalability.

- Self-motivated. Ability to work independently (with little support) and as a thin team.

Mandatory Skills Description:

- Overall 5+ years of experience

- Data ETL: Data ingestion, Data pipelines, Data Quality and Lineage,

- Strong development hands-on experience in PySpark

- Experienced in Python development and deployment. Able to demonstrate knowledge and practical application of best practices.

- Palantir Foundry (desirable)

- Understanding of Optimizing Techniques in Spark.

- Exception management when handling data.

- Understanding of data health checks.

- Experience in working with CSV, text, XML, parquet, and JSON formats of data.
