Job Description
- The Commercial Manager at RBM Infracon Limited oversees the techno-commercial aspects of piping, structural work, workover, and drilling projects. You will be responsible for business development, vendor & subcontractor management, cost control, SOP implementation, and team building to ensure project profitability and operational efficiency. A strong understanding of commercial negotiations, contracts, and project execution is required for this role.
Key Responsibilities:
Drive techno-commercial operations for piping, structural, and drilling projects, ensuring alignment between technical execution and commercial objectives. Lead contract negotiations, risk assessments, and profitability analysis. Develop and manage vendor relationships for procurement and services, evaluate and onboard subcontractors for efficient project execution, and negotiate pricing, terms, and agreements to optimize costs. Monitor project budgets, cash flow, and cost control measures, working closely with finance teams for commercial reporting and audits.
Identify new business opportunities and expand client networks. Develop strategies for market penetration in the oil & gas sector, prepare bids, proposals, and tenders for securing new projects. Develop and implement Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for commercial functions, ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements, and improve internal workflows for efficiency and transparency.
Build and mentor a strong commercial team for seamless operations, collaborate with project managers, engineering, and finance teams, and conduct training sessions for team development in techno-commercial aspects. Track project execution timelines and commercial milestones, address financial and operational bottlenecks proactively, and provide regular reports on project health and commercial status.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelors/Masters degree in Engineering, Business Management, or related field.
- 8+ years of experience in commercial management within the oil & gas sector.
- Strong knowledge of piping, structural work, workover, and drilling operations.
