This role is crucial for managing and optimizing our power trading activities and ensuring seamless interactions with key stakeholders in the Indian energy sector.

As a Power Trading Specialist, you will be at the forefront of our energy trading operations, focusing on the Indian Energy Exchange (IEX) and collaborating with Distribution Companies (DISCOMs), Transmission Companies (TRANSCOs), and other electrical departments. Your role will involve a blend of strategic planning, market analysis, and stakeholder management to drive efficient and profitable trading activities.
Key Responsibilities

• Power Trading Operations:
• Manage and execute power trading strategies on the Indian Energy Exchange (IEX) to optimize trading performance and profitability.
• Analyze market trends, price fluctuations, and regulatory changes to make informed trading decisions.
• Develop and implement strategies to leverage market opportunities and mitigate risks.
• Stakeholder Liaison:
• Establish and maintain strong relationships with DISCOMs, TRANSCOs, and other electrical departments to ensure smooth coordination and collaboration.
• Address and resolve any issues or challenges related to power trading and distribution in a timely manner.
• Facilitate effective communication between various stakeholders to ensure alignment on trading objectives and regulatory compliance.
• Market Analysis and Reporting:
• Conduct thorough market research and analysis to stay updated on industry developments and market dynamics.
• Prepare detailed reports on trading performance, market conditions, and strategic recommendations for senior management.
• Monitor and ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards governing power trading activities.
• Strategic Planning:
• Develop and execute strategic plans to enhance trading efficiency and achieve organizational goals.

Requirements

• Experience: Minimum of 4-6 years of hands-on experience in power trading within the Indian energy sector.
• Expertise: Proven experience with Indian Energy Exchange (IEX), and strong familiarity with DISCOMs, TRANSCOs, and electrical departments.
• Industry Background: Previous experience in the steel and manufacturing industry is highly preferred.
• Skills: Strong analytical, strategic, and communication skills with the ability to manage complex trading operations and stakeholder relationships.
• Gender Preference: Male candidates are preferred for this role.
