DGM - Manufacturing

Responsibilities & Key Deliverables
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic DGM - Manufacturing to join our team to lead aggregates assembly, which includes the Transmission and Engine assembly production groups. This role is critical in supporting the Plant Head and ensuring the seamless operation of our manufacturing processes.
Operational Leadership
Oversee the daily operations of aggregates plant.
Ensure efficient and effective manufacturing processes in Transmission and Engine assembly.
Implement and maintain high standards of quality, safety, and productivity.
Coordinate with the Plant Head to align manufacturing operations with company goals.
Strategic Planning And Execution
Collaborate with the Plant Head to develop and execute long-term and short-term manufacturing strategies.
Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and reduce costs.
Develop and manage the manufacturing budget, ensuring cost-effective operations.
Drive the implementation of advanced manufacturing technologies and automation.
Team Management And Development
Lead, mentor, and develop a team of supervisors, engineers, and technicians.
Foster a culture of teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Conduct performance evaluations, identify training needs, and provide opportunities for professional development.
Promote a positive and inclusive work environment.
Quality Assurance And Control
Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and company policies.
Implement robust quality control measures to minimize defects, rework, and warranty claims.
Drive initiatives to achieve zero-defect manufacturing and enhance customer satisfaction.
Conduct regular audits and inspections to ensure adherence to quality standards.
Process Optimization And Lean Manufacturing
Analyze and optimize manufacturing processes to reduce waste, improve efficiency, and increase productivity.
Implement lean manufacturing principles, Six Sigma methodologies, and best practices.
Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) to track progress and identify areas for improvement.
Lead cross-functional teams to solve complex manufacturing problems and implement corrective actions.
Safety And Compliance

Ensure a safe working environment for all employees by promoting and enforcing safety protocols and procedures.
Conduct regular safety training and drills to maintain high safety standards.
Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and promote sustainable manufacturing practices.
Investigate and resolve safety incidents and implement preventive measures.
Supply Chain And Inventory Management
Collaborate with the supply chain team to ensure timely availability of raw materials and components.
Optimize inventory levels to balance production needs with cost efficiency.
Manage relationships with suppliers and vendors to ensure quality and reliability.
Implement just-in-time (JIT) inventory practices to minimize stock levels and reduce lead times.
Customer Focus And Collaboration
Work closely with the sales and customer service teams to understand customer requirements and expectations.
Ensure that manufacturing operations meet or exceed customer quality and delivery expectations.
Collaborate with the R&D and product development teams to support the introduction of new products and technologies.
Participate in customer visits and audits to demonstrate manufacturing capabilities and build strong relationships.

General Experience
20 - 22 years in core manufacturing in tractor/engine/transmission assembly or in Auto
Experience of TPM, TQM , WCM
Critical Experience

• Experience in Industrial Relations, Union handling, exposure to LTS, understanding of Labor Laws
• Experience in implementing lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
