Lead Brand & Web Designer

Mareana is entering a hyper-growth phase as we build the operating system for the future of Life Sciences Manufacturing. As our brand evolves, we are looking for a highly skilled Lead Brand & Web Designer to elevate and scale our visual identity across digital touchpoints.

This is a senior individual contributor role focused on owning web design velocity, building scalable visual systems, and maintaining a premium, modern aesthetic. The ideal candidate combines refined design taste with strong systems thinking and the ability to leverage AI tools to accelerate execution.

You will work closely with Marketing leadership and the VP of Go-to-Market (US) to shape how Mareana presents itself globally.

What Youll Do

• Own high-fidelity web design execution, transforming briefs and wireframes into premium, production-ready mockups
• Lead the design and evolution of Mareanas scalable Figma Design System (components, variables, tokens)
• Ensure consistency, precision, and adherence to brand standards across all digital experiences
• Translate design concepts into interactive prototypes using AI-assisted coding tools (e.g., Tailwind/React workflows)
• Deliver developer-friendly files that enable smooth handoffs and faster implementation
• Collaborate directly with US-based leadership and defend design decisions with strategic clarity
• Bring static pages to life through thoughtful interaction design (hover states, motion, scroll behaviors)
• Maintain a high level of autonomy, speed, and ownership across multiple design initiatives

Requirements & Skills

• Strong portfolio demonstrating modern, high-end UI design (glassmorphism, dark mode systems, refined typography)
• Advanced proficiency in Figma (Auto Layout, Component Properties, Variables)
• Experience building scalable design systems
• Ability to interpret briefs independently and deliver near-complete solutions with minimal supervision
• Experience collaborating with global or US-based teams
• Familiarity with AI-powered creative tools (e.g., Midjourney, Runway, LLM-based workflows)
• Strong understanding of interaction design and motion principles
• Bonus: Experience with After Effects, Rive, or frontend frameworks
