Job Description
- We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Assistant Manager - Indirect Procurement to join our Central Procurement team.
- This individual will be responsible for managing a wide range of indirect procurement activities across India.
- The ideal candidate has prior experience in sourcing vendors across diverse spend categories, a strong analytical mindset, and excellent negotiation skills.
Key Responsibilities:
Procurement Strategy & Management:
- You will be responsible for managing indirect procurement for various categories including IT, HR, administration, retail consumables, supply chain, and marketing.
- Your goal is to optimize quality, cost, and delivery by pre-qualifying vendors and managing the entire RFP (Request for Proposal) process.
Vendor Sourcing & Negotiation:
- You will identify and pre-qualify vendors based on market reputation, participate in technical discussions with stakeholders, and lead negotiations to secure the best possible terms.
- You will also coordinate with vendors for quotations and prepare detailed techno-commercial comparisons.
Process & Compliance:
- You will ensure that all procurement activities comply with company policies, Delegation of Authority (DOA), and audit requirements.
- You will actively seek improvements in procurement processes to eliminate non-value-added activities and incorporate best practices.
Data Analysis & Reporting:
- You will use your proficiency in MS Excel to analyze procurement data, compare finalized costs with market standards, and generate comprehensive analysis reports.
- You will also maintain accurate records of contracts and procurement logs.
Skills:
Procurement Expertise:
- Proven experience in managing indirect procurement and sourcing vendors across diverse categories.
Analytical & Negotiation:

Software Proficiency:
- Proficient in MS Excel for data analysis and MS PowerPoint for presentations.
Communication & Ethics:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to coordinate with internal departments and vendors.
- You must possess an ethical and compliant mindset with strong problem-solving skills.
Organizational:
- The ability to multitask, work independently, and manage procurement timelines effectively.
Experience & Education:
Experience: A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a similar role, with a focus on indirect procurement.
Education: A Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field is required
