About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Financial Controller to oversee and manage all financial operations of the organization.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for financial planning, reporting, compliance, budgeting, and ensuring robust financial governance.
You will work closely with senior leadership to provide financial insights, guide strategic decisions, and ensure the company's financial health and regulatory compliance.
This is a critical role requiring strong technical accounting expertise, excellent leadership skills, and a hands-on approach to financial management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee day-to-day accounting operations, including general ledger, AP/AR, payroll, and reconciliations.
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Lead the preparation of management reports, cash flow forecasts, and variance analysis for internal stakeholders and executive leadership.

- Develop and manage the annual budgeting process, working with department heads to align financial plans with business goals.
- Monitor performance against budget and forecast, highlighting key variances and recommending corrective actions.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal financial regulations, including tax filings, audits, and statutory reporting.
- Maintain strong internal controls and ensure compliance with financial policies, procedures, and accounting standards (GAAP/IFRS).
- Manage external audits, liaise with auditors, and oversee the preparation of audit schedules and responses.
- Identify financial risks and implement mitigation strategies to safeguard company assets and operations.
- Lead and mentor a team of accountants and finance professionals.
- Collaborate with executive leadership, legal, operations, and HR teams to support business initiatives and financial planning.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field (Master's degree or MBA preferred).
- CPA, CA, or equivalent professional certification required.
- 8-10 years of progressive experience in accounting and financial management, including at least 3-5 years in a leadership or controller role.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP/IFRS, financial regulations, and compliance standards.
- Proficiency with ERP/accounting systems (e.g, SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks, NetSuite).
- Advanced Excel and financial modeling skills.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
