Validation Engineer (Homologation Testing Active Safety)

Regulatory Compliance & Homologation Execution

• Ensure compliance with Domestic (IS15986, AIS151, AIS152, AIS133, IS11948) & Export regulations (UN13H, UNR139, UNR140, UNR79)
• Support homologation activities through execution and review of development and pre‑homologation testing
• Ensure internal design standards are aligned with applicable regulatory requirements

Testing, Validation & Technical Evaluation

• Coordinate and monitor development, validation, and pre‑homologation testing activities
• Review test methods, data analysis, and results against regulatory standards
• Identify deviations, perform root cause analysis, and drive corrective actions

Pre‑Homologation Planning & Cross‑Functional Coordination

• Collaborate with Carline, Engineering, and Homologation teams to finalize test applicability
• Develop test schedules, monitor execution, and track project milestones
• Identify gaps in regulatory interpretation or test methods and resolve through technical discussion

Worst Case Criteria & Test Strategy Development

• Prepare Worst Case Criteria documentation based on product changes or variants
• Develop and manage test matrices to support homologation test list finalization

Audit, Test Witness & Homologation Readiness

• Prepare regulatory audit checklists aligned with latest regulations
• Act as test witness/internal auditor during pre‑homologation testing
• Evaluate readiness for homologation based on test outcomes and compliance status

Documentation & Compliance Process Adherence

• Prepare internal test reports, compliance summaries, and regulatory documentation
• Ensure adherence to internal compliance processes and maintain audit‑ready records
• Escalate high‑risk compliance issues to senior management with mitigation plans

Regulatory & Homologation Knowledge:

• Strong understanding of- CMVR Motor Vehicle Rules AIS, IS, BIS standards, UN Regulations (UNR) and ECE requirements

Testing & Validation Expertise:

• Ability to evaluate: Test methods and procedures, Data analysis and result interpretation, & Compliance against regulatory intent
• Understanding of worst‑case selection logic and variant management

Project & Stakeholder Management

• Experience in test planning, scheduling, and tracking deliverables
• Ability to manage multiple tests/projects under tight timelines

Technical Problem Solving & Root Cause Analysis

• Strong analytical skills for identifying test failures or compliance risks
• Ability to define countermeasures and corrective actions
• Structured approach to escalation and risk communication

Documentation & Audit Skills

• Experience preparing technical reports and compliance documentation
• Familiarity with regulatory audits and internal compliance assessments
• Ability to develop checklists and ensure traceability of requirements
