Quality Control Engineer

Role & responsibilities

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement quality plans: Create, implement, and monitor project-specific quality assurance and quality control (QA/QC) plans to ensure compliance with project requirements, specifications, and industry standards.
• Documentation and reporting: Manage all QA/QC documents, including inspection requests, test results, material certifications, and non-conformance reports (NCRs). Prepare and submit regular progress reports.
• Material quality assurance: Review and approve all materials delivered to the site to ensure they meet project specifications. Conduct and supervise various material tests, such as sieve analysis for aggregates and strength tests for cement and steel.
• Site inspections and audits:
  
  Supervise and perform inspections of various construction activities like concrete pouring, welding, and finishing to ensure compliance with design documents and specifications. Conduct audits on processes to ensure quality procedures are followed.
• Testing and verification: Develop and oversee all testing methods to maintain high-quality standards. Review and approve Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs) and ensure all required testing is performed and documented.
• Issue and non-conformance management: Track and handle non-conformities and quality issues. Coordinate with site managers and other teams to implement corrective and preventive actions.
• Coordination and communication: Work with project managers, engineers, suppliers, and contractors to address quality concerns. Assist and train site staff on quality standards.
