Role Description
The Sales Manager for Maharashtra will lead Mecwins sales initiatives across all customer segments, including B2B, B2C, retail, government, and sector-specific markets. The role involves business development, channel management, project execution, financial collections, marketing, and relationship management to drive the adoption and sales of Mecwin solar pumping solutions state-wide.
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Engineering, Agriculture, Business, or related discipline preferred.
- 5 to 7+ years of proven sales experience with emphasis on solar pumps, renewable energy, irrigation, or agricultural equipment.
- Strong network and knowledge of Maharashtras customer base, agri-sector, government programs, and retail dynamics.
- Demonstrated success in managing multi-channel sales and building lasting client relationships.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, reporting, and leadership skills.
- Ability to work independently, travel extensively, and meet aggressive sales targets with a strategic mindset.
- Proficiency with CRM tools, digital reporting, and Microsoft Office applications.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive end-to-end sales across B2B, B2C, OEMs, agri-businesses, and channel partners across Maharashtra
- Develop and manage distributors, dealers, and project partners (urban + rural coverage)
- Build strong relationships with farmers, institutions, corporates, and retailers
- Handle government & subsidy projects (PM-KUSUM): tenders, approvals, execution, and collections
- Lead field sales activities: farmer camps, demos, dealer meets, and on-ground promotions
- Coordinate closely with service, finance, and HO teams to ensure smooth post-sales and payments
- Track sales performance, forecasts, market trends, and competitor activity
- Train and manage regional sales teams and dealer sales reps

What Were Looking For:
- Strong field sales & channel management experience (agri / solar / energy preferred)
- Hands-on experience with government projects & subsidy programs
- Self-driven, execution-focused, and comfortable working on ground
