BI Analyst - Operations Analytics

The BI Analyst will be a member of the BI support group in the Medline Operations department, whose primary purpose will be

• 
  to ensure the availability, accuracy, and efficiency of Operations application/repository data and their dependent reporting and application processes


• 
  to develop UI and Data visualizations solutions for business members at all levels of the organization, providing end to end insights to business stakeholders of KPI trends, root cause determination, and the development of strategic dashboards and scorecards
  


• 
  To build automations, build optimization models, continuously learn and implement newer technologies to drive KPI

• Provide inputs in designing end to end Data modeling solution from a technical perspective to support Business intelligence needs of the Warehouse operations teams
  


• Assist teams with data/query optimization and the staging of information to ensure the accuracy and expediency of data access in Application and BI solutions.
  


• Supply guidance to team members/ designers for creating data mapping documents or unit documents for ETL (SSIS/Talend) & BI.
  


• In coordination with stakeholders, interprets business requirements into informative and actionable data visualizations in the form of automated distributed tabular reports, ad-hoc data requests, as well as interactive dashboards and Scorecards. Designs robust visualizations with root-cause identification potential.
  


• Understands key metrics and the business/System processes that influence them.
  


• Leverage a variety of BI Tools to deliver the insights required for the Ops Analyst teams
  


• Communicate with all levels of the organization to deliver strategic or tactical solutions based on intended audience and specific use case.
  


• Provides guidance in the interpretation of data trends and general inquiries regarding the information presented to consumers.
  

Requirements

• 5 + years of experience and strong ability in a variety of BI Tools (Webfocus and/or Tableau or Microstrategy, MSBI, SSRS preferred.
  


• 5 + years of experience writing stored procedures and functions, SSIS packages or other ETL tools
  


• Strong understanding of Data Modeling, Analysis, Data Profiling and Data Discovery on multi-application source systems

• Firm background in working with large data sets, integrating data from disparate systems, ETL (tools like SSIS or Talend), and query optimization

• Strong understanding of SDLC process including Business requirement gathering, technical design, Reports development

• Experience in business user support on ad-hoc data analysis requirements and future initiative impacts.

• Experience in leading/ coordinating BI projects with business users, other designers, data modelers and analysts
  


• Strong understanding of key metrics, business/ systems processes in the experienced domain areas
