AGM - International Accounting

• Manage the day-to-day accounting operations for the organization, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger functions.
• Prepare financial statements in accordance with international accounting standards (e.g., IFRS, GAAP) and ensure they are accurate and timely.
• Lead the preparation of annual budgets, forecasts, and financial projections for the organization.
• Develop and implement accounting policies and procedures to ensure compliance with international accounting standards and regulations.
• Collaborate with other departments to support business decisions and ensure financial transactions are properly recorded.
• Oversee the management and development of a team of accounting professionals, providing guidance, coaching, and mentoring as needed.

• Monitor and analyze financial performance to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
• Ensure timely and accurate completion of financial audits, FEMA and other compliance-related activities.
• Stay up-to-date with changes in international accounting standards and regulations and ensure the organization is compliant.

Responsibility

The Head of International Accounting will be responsible for overseeing the accounting and financial reporting functions for an organization operating across multiple countries. This includes managing the day-to-day accounting operations, preparing financial statements, ensuring compliance with international accounting standards, and working closely with other departments to support business decisions. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of international accounting principles, experience managing a team of accounting professionals, and the ability to collaborate with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.

Requirements

• Professional certification such as CA with Bachelors degree in accounting or finance, with a preference for a Masters degree in Accounting or MBA with a focus on finance or accounting.
• 10+ years of relevant accounting experience, with at least 5 years in a management or leadership role.
• Strong knowledge of international accounting principles and standards (e.g., IFRS, GAAP) and experience applying them in practice. Experience managing financial audits and compliance-related activities.
• Excellent analytical skills with the ability to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels of the organization. Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Office applications.
• Experience working in a multinational organization with exposure to multiple currencies, languages, and cultures.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a team of accounting professionals.
