Power Electronics Engineer

Power supply design engineer with good knowledge of detailed design (Responsibility includes Conceptual design, components selection, electrical design/power electronic circuit design, design calculations, correction of work products, conduct peer reviews.) and power factor correction utilizing latest power topologies and technology for Power and automotive applications.

Duties and responsibilities:

• Creation of electrical block diagrams, schematics, circuit analysis, and design presentations.
• Generate reliable, cost effective, highly efficient, manufacturable power supply design solutions that meet or exceed the needs of customer applications.
• Drafting of electrical circuit drawings (schematics).
• PCB component placement and routing guidelines preparation and review the PCB layout.
• Board bring-up and testing of the product.
• Communicate, Co-ordinate with team in different locations.
• 
  Co-ordinate with software & mechanical engineers for integration and testing of work products and release activities.

• Good experience of power supply design, electrical & electronic products.
• Should have hands on experience in different topologies like buck, boost, flyback, high power and high voltage designs upto 400V to 1200V.
• Should have hands on experience on designing controls systems and understand PWM control etc.
• Transformer design, Inductor design experience, understanding of different core materials, insulation classes, laminations, common & differential mode chokes etc.
• Insertion loss calculation for magnetic components
• Electrical & electronics components selections such as relays, switches, resistors, varistors, inductors, transformers, capacitors, & semiconductors (MOSFET, BJT, Diodes, LED, Zener, Triac, Diac,TVS, Micro controllers, etc.).
• Knowledge on common & differential mode noise.
• Control system expertise / loop compensation skills, measurement skills, testing skills etc.
• Must have used microcontrollers/DSCs/DSPs and designed interfaces using them.
• Must have designed systems using analog and digital circuits.

• Experience in PCB layouts, understand and have worked on different PCB compliance requirements.
• Will be a added advantage if has a 3 products full design life cycle experience.
• Understanding of PCB design software.
• Work experience in communication interfaces: I2C, SPI, RS232, USB, CAN, LIN,UART etc.
• Experience on EMC, EMI & safety standards.
• Ability to work with cross functional teams, ability to take decisions on technical matters.
• Develop and maintain engineering documents to meet CMMI & IATF standard.
• Must have Knowledge of simulation tools: Matlab, PSpice/LTspice and major CAD tools.

Qualification: BE/Mtech in Electronics or Related Engineering

Total experience: 6+ years of experience in the field of designing power electronic products
