Job Description

Our client is a leading, international multi-billion dollar hedge fund with offices located in the worlds key financial centres, including the DIFC, Dubai. They have an extremely strong reputation in the market, and as such are looking to hire a strong Fund Accounting professional into their team.
- Perform daily, monthly, and quarterly accounting activities for assigned funds, including managing the corporate accounts, budgeting, fund expenses, accruals, cash reconciliations, and cash forecasts.
- Ensure accurate and timely recording of all investment transactions, including purchases, sales, and income distributions.
- Prepare and review financial statements, reports, and schedules for assigned funds in compliance with the accounting standards and regulatory requirements of DFSA.
- Collaborate with internal teams, back office, operations and, compliance to ensure accurate and timely completion of deliverables.
- Assist in the annual audit process and coordinate with external auditors.
- Conduct detailed analysis of fund performances, and insights to senior management.
- Monitor and reconcile discrepancies in fund evaluations, pricing, and cash positions.
- Stay updated with industry best practices, accounting regulations, and market trends related to investment funds.
- Contribute to process improvements.
- Bachelors degree in accounting/Finance or a related field.
- CPA designations
- Minimum of 5 years experience in fund accounting, preferably within an investment management firm or financial institution.
- String knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting standards (FATCA) and regulatory requirements (DFSA) applicable to investment funds.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams and communicate complex financial information to stakeholders.
