Manager - Retail & Trade Marketing - Sports & Fitness

Role Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic and strategic Manager - Retail & Trade Marketing to lead our brand presence within the high-growth sports and fitness sector in Gurugram. In this role, you will be the bridge between our brand vision and the retail floor, orchestrating end-to-end trade marketing initiatives that drive visibility, conversion, and market share. You will work closely with cross-functional teams including Sales, Product, and Supply Chain, while managing relationships with key retail partners across Modern and General Trade channels. Your work will directly influence the consumer experience at the point of sale, ensuring our products stand out in a competitive landscape and delivering measurable growth in category performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute comprehensive trade marketing calendars to drive product sell-through and brand visibility across all retail channels.
- Design and implement high-impact trade promotion programs that incentivize channel partners and increase shelf-share in both Modern and General Trade outlets.

- Lead the Go-To-Market strategy for new product launches, ensuring seamless execution from warehouse to retail shelf to maximize initial market penetration.
- Collaborate with the sales leadership team to refine sales planning and channel strategy, ensuring marketing efforts are aligned with regional revenue targets.
- Analyze marketing analytics and consumer insights to identify performance gaps and optimize trade spend for maximum return on investment.
- Manage the end-to-end lifecycle of retail assets and point-of-sale materials, ensuring brand consistency and operational excellence across all physical touchpoints.
- Monitor competitor activities and market trends to proactively adjust trade strategies, maintaining our competitive edge in the sports and fitness category.
Required Skillset:
- Demonstrated expertise in managing complex retail environments, with a deep understanding of both Modern Trade dynamics and General Trade distribution networks.
- Proven ability to translate consumer insights and marketing analytics into actionable sales strategies that drive measurable business outcomes.
- Strong proficiency in category management and trade promotion planning, with a track record of managing budgets and delivering high-impact campaigns.
- Exceptional stakeholder management skills, capable of influencing cross-functional teams and building collaborative relationships with external retail partners.
- Excellent communication and presentation abilities, with the confidence to present strategic plans to senior leadership and external stakeholders.
- A postgraduate degree in Management or Marketing from a premier institute is highly preferred, reflecting a strong foundation in business strategy.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, on-site work environment in Gurugram, demonstrating high adaptability and a hands-on approach to problem-solving.
- 6 to 10 years of professional experience in trade marketing or retail management, specifically within the sports, fitness, or lifestyle consumer goods industry.
