Miray Holdings is excited to announce the opening of a new restaurant in Jumeirah 1, Dubai, and we are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic accountant to join our team. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for overseeing the financial operations of our new establishment, ensuring accuracy in financial reporting and compliance with all relevant regulations. Your expertise will be essential in managing the accounts payable and receivable, preparing financial statements, and contributing to the financial planning that drives our restaurants success.

As we embark on this new venture, you will play a key role in establishing efficient accounting processes and controls. Collaboration with the restaurant management team will be critical as you provide insights into budget management, forecasting, and performance analysis. Additionally, you will support the financial aspects of new initiatives and help to shape the financial practices that will contribute to the overall growth of the restaurant.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain accurate financial statements, ensuring compliance with accounting standards.
• Manage accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely and accurate processing.
• Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning for the restaurant.

• Monitor financial performance and provide insights to restaurant management.
• Implement effective accounting processes and controls specific to restaurant operations.
• Support year-end closing processes and liaise with auditors when required.
• Prepare monthly reconciliation of financial accounts to ensure accuracy.

Requirements

• Bachelors degree in accounting, finance, or a related field is required.
• Previous experience as an accountant, preferably in the hospitality or restaurant industry.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and regulations applicable to the food service sector.
• Proficient in accounting software and MS Office Suite, especially Excel.
• Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with management and staff.
• A self-starter attitude with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
