Job Description
- You will be joining the data team of a notable financial asset management company as a skilled Python and SQL Engineer. Your primary responsibility will involve writing, testing, and maintaining Python code and SQL queries to support various project requirements. Additionally, you will be required to assist in system integration and debugging, collaborating with senior engineers to ensure project goals alignment, conducting development testing, and proposing solutions to improve data quality.
Furthermore, you will play a crucial role in performing data analysis, identifying inconsistencies, contributing to task estimation, maintaining technical documentation, and supporting ongoing system improvements under the guidance of senior team members. Your qualifications should include 3-5 years of experience as a software developer using Python, 1-2 years of experience with relational databases (preferably Sybase) and SQL, familiarity with Linux operating systems, and exposure to the finance industry.
It is essential that you possess excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, along with the ability to work in a globally distributed team. Having experience with Python frameworks utilizing Asyncio, cloud technologies like Kubernetes and Docker, DevOps tools such as Git, Maven, Jenkins, GitLab CI, designing multi-tier application architectures, and ETL background will be advantageous. Moreover, proficiency in troubleshooting performance issues across the codebase and database queries will be beneficial.

A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience is preferred.
