You will be manager in a team responsible for the overall financial integrity and performance of a country, category, Supply Chain or FP&A. You will support the Senior Manager or Director in data collection to prepare business proposals, verify assumptions, check daily execution and support delivery of overall objectives and ensure the integrity and timeliness of reporting. You may also have a direct report or manage third party providers resources.
How You Will Contribute
You will:

  • Manage and execute aspects of finance planning and performance management process and related financial decisions potentially including Strategic Plan and Annual Contract planning/forecasting, target development, financial performance reporting/analysis, financial modeling and decision support for a focused scope within a region, business unit, country, Supply Chain, Mondelēz International Business Services or Corporate Finance team. You will own data collection and verify data integrity

  • Ensure a strong controls and compliance environment in your area of scope and ensure full compliance with our policies

  • Help the senior manager and the business prepare critical financial data and insight that enable perspectives for business strategies and decisions

  • Lead projects to improve efficiencies and improvements to ways of working and embrace a mindset of continuous improvement

  • Contribute to a high-performing Finance team. You will also invest in personal development and the development of Finance peers and drive our Finance talent agenda within the organization, with a focus on local FP&A pipeline

  • TECHNICAL EXPERTISE in financial planning and performance management including data collection and structuring, analyzing, planning and reporting company financial performance across all financial KPIs and investment decisions and cost management to achieve financial targets

Manager, FP&A, BS&CF
Basic Purpose of Position(Summarize what the job does and why)

  • Manager, FP&A, BS&CF role is responsible for driving the Free Cash Flow (FCF) planning and supporting the delivery of FCF across AMEA.

  • Planning (Strategic Plan, Annual Contract, Forecasts) of the Free Cash Flow (FCF) across AMEA by BU.

  • Partnering with the BU AER leads, Procurement Finance, Regional Procurement, Regional Supply Chain, Corporate and Region FP&A, Global OTC teams for planning & forecasting exercise and to understand the key drivers for variance to AC and ongoing forecast cycles and perform detailed analysis of FCF at component level. Advising the Manager, COE of Cashflow Planning and Financial Controlling of risks and opportunities in key drivers of cashflow for assigned geographies. Supporting the FCs of assigned geographies in developing cashflow improvement plans to mitigate risks.

  • Deep dive on Cash Conversion Cycle (CCC) bridges, identifying and explaining to stakeholders’ key variance drivers for DSO, DIOH and DPO

  • Ensuring accurate and insightful commentary of accounts (below OI, cashflow and BS) to region and corporate controlling teams

  • To ensure timely and correct closing of books consistent to US GAAP financial-accounting, while ensuring that financial-reporting policies are understood and complied with consistently.

  • Continuous liaising with FC’s or Manager–controlling of BUs identifying issues and providing feedback for continuous improvement in reporting processes and driving working capital improvement.

  • Servicing ad-hoc business requests relating to cashflow and balance sheet queries

  • Drive automation & digitization of various processes & reporting to enhance efficiencies & improved analytics


The stakeholders that this position will need to work closely with include:

  • Global Financial Controlling and Consolidations;

  • Global and Region Tax;

  • Global and Region Treasury;

  • Global Cashflow Planning Team;

  • Global, Regional & BU FP&A;

  • BU Controlling;

  • Region and BU Sales, Integrated Supply Chain and Procurement


Qualifications
What level of education and professional qualifications and/or specific occupational training required?

  • Degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA/CA

  • Hyperion-systems certification (preferred but not compulsory)


Experience
This is the proven record of experience and achievement in a field, profession or specialism. State an approximate minimum period of experience in a defined area of work.
  • 5+ years of experience of with a large MNC, preferable with mix of Controlling & FP&A stints.

Knowledge
Level and breadth of knowledge required to do the job, e.g. an understanding of a defined system, practice, method or procedure.

  • Robust knowledge of US GAAP (compulsory)

  • Strong knowledge of Mondelez Finance policies and processes (preferred but not compulsory)


Technical / Work-based Skills
This relates to the skills specific to the job, e.g. language fluency, typing skills, etc.

  • Strong business data-analysis skills

  • Strong Financial Accounting Skills

  • Strong technical and working knowledge of SAP, Hyperion and FIT systems

Key Accountabilities
Drive Planning and Analysis of the Free Cash Flow (FCF) process including the:

  • Annual Contract (AC);

  • Quarterly Forecasts / Latest Estimates throughout the year; and

  • Monthly Actuals

Liaising with stakeholders to identify cashflow risks and opportunities.
Ensure that drivers for variances are adequately identified and flagged and managed.
Performance Measures / KPIs

  • Timely submission of Annual Contract and Quarterly Forecasts.

  • Timely, quarterly revisions to forecasts based on Actual trends.

  • Timely and accurate submission of monthly actuals analysis to COE team.

  • Achievement of FCF and CCC targets by the region

Prepare the quarterly/ Planning/ Forecast FCF deck for review with Senior Management/ Corporate for AMEA and by BU

Collating and compiling the FCF deck for the region and by BU for review within the COE team and with Senior Management

Key Accountabilities
Support BUs to ensure on-time closing and provide support on issues with FIT and HFM, including roll-forwards, test checks, fact books etc.
Maintain integrity of financial statements by:

  • Reviewing the Balance sheet reconciliation on a rotation basis

  • Looking to get Placed? Try our Placement Guarantee Plan

    Review and intercompany mismatch at month end for assigned BU

  • Actively participating in the monthly meetings with BU controllers to discuss, monitor and review significant accounting issues, reserves and other reporting requirements

  • Ensuring all follow-ups are documented and completed

  • Handling any ad-hoc analysis on FCF and Balance Sheet


Performance Measures / KPIs

  • Accurate and consistent application of financial policies across all entities in the assigned geographies

  • Nil reopening and restatement of the financial books as a result of inconsistent application and/or significant financial errors

  • Continuous improvement and maintenance of the controlling handbook. Identifying areas of training and coordinating resources for the same

  • Standardizing closing procedures and driving efficiency in ways of working

  • Organizing training sessions on technical issues to build accounting and financial capabilities
