Compliance Associate

Role/Responsibilities: The Compliance Policy & Communication Team is responsible for the administration and approval processes for compliance-owned policies, procedures, and guidance documents, and related applications. The team is also responsible for posting and maintaining the policy-related content on internal and external company websites. In addition, the Team is responsible for providing advisories and reminders to internal personnel on procedural and compliance-related topics. Finally, this team serves as the Compliance liaison to the Decentralized Finance and Digital Assets business team. This role is responsible for the following: 

• Preparing, proofreading, and drafting policies, procedures, guidelines, and other compliance guidance documents
• Communicating with internal stakeholders on policy deliverables and deadlines and coordinating review and feedback sessions
• Supporting policy review, approval, and certification processes
• Executing quality control routines on team processes
• Coordinating translations of materials (including through internal technology tools) and maintaining policy inventory database
  
• Assisting with responding to requests from regulators and internal stakeholders on policy-related matters
• Working with the Compliance Training Team on policy changes leading to new training requirements and updates and on audience identification for training
• Developing operating procedures for key processes following best practice models
• Preparing reports and other information in response to internal and regulatory requests
• Leading and/or supporting other team projects or ad hoc deliverables as needed

Qualifications:

• At least 5 years of experience in a compliance or related function such as Audit, Risk, Legal, or business support/operations; experience with a regulated financial services environment desired

• Excellent English language written and verbal communication skills; ability to read other languages a plus
• Bachelor’s degree
• Ability to manage tasks to meet project deliverables on time and error free
• Ability to analyze current processes and workflows and make substantive suggestions for improvement
• Expert in the MS Office suite, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint; knowledge of Access and SharePoint, and willingness to learn new tools, desired
• Familiarity with blockchain technology desired
