MSCI Data Tech is a central team that builds and manages several Data centric applications/capabilities to support all business verticals of the firm including ESG, Index, Analytics & Real Estate. As a member of Data Tech-Data Science Team, you would join a motivated team of professionals actively engaged in challenging one another to produce products of the highest quality in a business whose explicit goal is to be “best in class”. This team stays up to date on the fast-moving technologies and solutions available on LLM, Generative AI, NLP, ML & also plan and implement advanced Data Science solutions across MSCI’s applications and business verticals.

Your Key Responsibilities
We are seeking a self-motivated and pro-active ML Engineer in Mumbai/Pune to develop data science applications and be a part of our AI adoption journey.
This Role Will Focus On

• Supporting teams across MSCI to implement AI solutions and integrate their services with MSCI’s products and platforms.
• Implement ML / NLP / LLM solutions in proprietary DS services to deliver new functionality for the internal production platform and the client delivery platform.
• Engage with teams across technology and Business to develop/enhance MSCI APIs and data delivery platforms.
• Closely collaborate with Product Management, Data Operations, and IT Infrastructure on all stages of development life cycle. 
  
  

Your Skills And Experience That Will Help You Excel
Required skills and experience: 

• Batchelor/Master’s in computer science, Mathematics, Engineering, or related field.
• 2-6 years of experience in developing and deploying models as scalable microservices or serverless solutions.
• Experience in fine-tuning Deep Learning models for NLP tasks.
• Strong programming skills in Python, R, or Scala
• Experience with microservices frameworks like FastAPI, Flask or similar.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Curiosity and a passion for learning new things.
• Excellent communication (verbal and written) and presentation skills.
• Foundational understanding of LLMs
  

Good To Have

• Experience with data visualization and data mining.
• Experience with cloud computing platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Experience with solutions leveraging LLMs.
