Quality Control Engineer

Job Overview:

We are seeking a skilled Quality Control (QC) Engineer with experience in dimensional inspection of machined components, preferably for high-precision aerospace or space projects such as those executed for Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) and Vikram Sarabhai Space Centre (VSSC).

The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience inspecting critical components with close tolerances and ensuring compliance with stringent aerospace quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform dimensional inspection of precision machined parts.
• Inspect critical aerospace components with tight tolerances.
• Use measuring instruments such as:
  
• CMM (Coordinate Measuring Machine)
• Vernier Calipers
• Micrometers
• Height Gauges
• Bore Gauges
• Surface Roughness Tester
• Interpret engineering drawings, GD&T, and technical specifications.
• Prepare inspection reports and documentation as per aerospace standards.
• Ensure compliance with ISRO/VSSC quality requirements.
• Handle non-conformance reports (NCR) and corrective actions.
• Coordinate with production and engineering teams for quality improvements.

Required Skills:

• Strong knowledge of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing)
• Experience in inspection of machined aerospace components
• Familiarity with aerospace quality standards
• Good understanding of close tolerance measurements
• Strong documentation and reporting skills
• Attention to detail and analytical mindset

Preferred Qualifications:

• Diploma / B.E / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering
• Experience working on space or defense projects
• Exposure to ISO / AS9100 quality systems
