Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site Sales Manager role based in Ahmedabad. The Sales Manager will be responsible for acquiring new customers and expanding business with existing clients across logistics, freight forwarding, customs brokerage, inland transportation, and warehousing services. Daily activities include identifying and qualifying leads, conducting client meetings and presentations, preparing proposals and quotations, and negotiating commercial terms within company guidelines. The role will collaborate closely with operations, pricing, and customer service teams to build solutions that meet client requirements and ensure smooth execution of shipments. The Sales Manager will track sales pipelines, meet revenue and margin targets, maintain accurate CRM records, and provide timely market and competitor insights to leadership.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in logistics & freight forwarding.

  • Strong client acquisition and relationship management skills, including prospecting, lead qualification, and account growth.
  • Ability to prepare and present commercial proposals, negotiate pricing and terms, and close deals in line with company objectives.
  • Good understanding of international logistics, multimodal transport, customs processes, and trade documentation (exposure to NVOCC/MTO operations is an advantage).
  • Comfort using CRM and productivity tools to manage pipelines, forecast sales, and report performance metrics.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Bachelors degree in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain, or a related field; an MBA or equivalent business qualification is a plus.
  • Results-oriented mindset, high level of ownership, and readiness to work in a fast-paced, target-driven environment in Ahmedabad.
