Core duties include recording transactions, processing payroll, conducting audits, and creating financial reports like forecasts and tax returns.
Key Responsibilities:Financial Reporting: Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements (P&L, balance sheets, cash flow).Data Analysis: Analyze financial data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities, suggesting cost savings or revenue enhancement.Compliance & Auditing: Ensure financial records meet GAAP and legal standards; conduct internal audits and risk assessments.Taxation: Compute taxes, prepare and file tax returns, and advise on tax liability reduction.Record Keeping: Maintain accurate general ledgers, reconcile bank statements, and organize financial documents.Budgeting & Cash Flow: Monitor and manage company budgets and cash flow.Payroll: Process employee payroll. Essential Skills:Strong understanding of accounting principles (GAAP).Proficiency with accounting software and tools (AI/automation is growing).Analytical and problem-solving abilities.Attention to detail and accuracy.Communication skills for explaining financial findings.
