Research Assistant In The Division Of Science [Computer Science] - Dr. Yasir Zaki

The Zaki Laboratory in the Computer Science Program of the Division of Sciences at New York University Abu Dhabi seeks to appoint a research assistant. Applicants with backgrounds in computer networks or related fields are encouraged to apply. A successful applicant would be working on various projects related to speeding up the web, web measurements, the use of AI and ML in the web, mobile and cellular measurements, etc. More details about the kinds of related projects can be found at http://yasirzaki.net/.
Applicants must have received a B.SC. in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or a related area within the last three years. The position requires significant research experience in web development, Javascript, machine learning, browsers plugins, and hacking/extending existing web solutions, and deploying solutions on the ground. Excellent academic credentials and publication record and a strong background in machine learning are mandatory requirements. Excellent communication skills in English, ability to work in multi-disciplinary teams, and scientific creativity are essential. The candidate is expected to have strong programming skills in C/C , Python, Android, and proficiency in working in a Linux environment.
