Job Description
- As a Network Engineer specializing in industrial communication and RF solutions, your primary responsibility will be to design, implement, and maintain cutting-edge solutions that address business challenges and add value to a range of business functions. You will be tasked with developing network hardware standards, designing radio frequency IP transport systems, and conducting network engineering in industrial environments under varying conditions.
A crucial aspect of your role will involve collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to gather requirements and design network infrastructure that supports our network products effectively. You will be required to create technical design documentation, implementation/test plans, and provide tier-3 support to operational teams, including liaising with vendors and service providers.
In addition, you will work closely with global peers to support change implementations, troubleshoot escalated issues, and maintain network infrastructure processes and procedures. Your involvement in business continuity planning (BCP) and disaster recovery planning (DRP) events will be essential in ensuring the resilience and functionality of our network and business environment.
Your expertise in network security infrastructure will be crucial, as you will be responsible for developing and implementing solutions to uphold the reliability, efficiency, and effectiveness of security components across the enterprise and associated process control environments. Working collaboratively with project managers, team members, and stakeholders, you will identify continuous improvement opportunities and implement agile solutions to enhance operational efficiencies.

To excel in this role, you should hold a bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field, along with 10-15 years of experience in network engineering and wireless communications in industrial settings. A CCNP or CCIE certification is required, along with advanced proficiency in network IP transport, RF technologies, network fundamentals, and troubleshooting.
Moreover, your expertise should extend to machine-to-machine and IoT solutions, IP transport management across various technologies, scripting and automation using Python, network monitoring solutions, and network access services. A solid understanding of RF technologies, 2-way radio systems, wireless LAN, network access control solutions, and security management tools such as Palo Alto Firewalls and Panorama will be essential to thrive in this role.,
