Position: QA/QC Engineer – Civil / Architectural
Department: Quality Assurance/Quality Control
Reporting To: QA/QC Manager
Scope: Project Quality Control & Assurance
Position Overview
The QA/QC Engineer (Civil) represents IMAN Developers in monitoring and assuring construction quality across multiple projects at various stages. This is a developer/client-side quality governance role focused on quality risk identification, ongoing work standards control, consultant & other stakeholder coordination, and project handover readiness and operates as an independent client/developer quality audit function under the QA/QC Manager.
Core Responsibilities
1. Quality Inspection/Audits
• Conduct structured developer/client-side inspection regularly and at key construction milestones at several ongoing projects.
• Flag recurring quality deviations affecting outcomes. Track recurring quality deficiencies and highlight systemic risks.
• Monitor workmanship quality of Structural, Finishing & ID Works.
• Perform periodic surveillance audits to ensure the quality standards are maintained.
2. Daily / Weekly Quality Status Reporting• Conduct structured site quality walks.
• Issue Daily / Weekly Quality Status Reports to QC Manager.
• Record deficiencies with photographic documentation.
• Classify issues as Minor / Major / Systemic.
• Highlight recurring trends and risk exposure.
• Provide practical recommendations for preventive action.
3. Consultant Coordination & Follow-Up
• Coordinate with consultant representatives regarding identified deficiencies.
• Follow up on closure of major and repeated issues.
• Attend joint inspections when required.
• Track consultant-issued NCRs affecting developer risk.
• Escalate unresolved quality concerns to QA/QC Manager.
4. Pre-Handover & Snagging Support
• Conduct developer pre-snag inspections prior to QA/QC Manager final Inspection.

• Verify visible finishes meet IMAN brand standards.
• Ensure no major defects remain prior to customer inspection.
• Confirm area cleanliness and readiness for CRM exposure.
5. Documentation & Compliance Verification
• Verify consultant snag closure status.
• Review project deliverable document submissions. • Identify documentation gaps impacting handover readiness.
Required Qualifications & Experience
• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering.
• 7–12 years of UAE high-rise residential project experience.
• Demonstrated knowledge across the full project lifecycle, including Structural Stage, Finishing & ID Works, Testing & Commissioning interface, and Pre-Handover & Customer Handover process.
• Strong Technical knowledge & hands-on experience in Finishing & ID quality standards.
• Experience in developer-side or consultant-side environment preferred.
• Strong understanding of Dubai Authority regulations and authority compliance requirements.
• Strong ability to interpret drawings, project specifications, etc.
• Proven experience in pre-handover inspections and consultant coordination.
