Nirvasa - Vice President - SCM & Logistics

Position Summary
Nirvasa is seeking a senior supply chain leader to head end-to-end warehouse and logistics operations across India. The Vice President SCM will be responsible for building a scalable, compliant, and cost-efficient supply chain network supporting Nirvasas healthcare and Ayurvedic product distribution model.
This role will ensure high service levels, regulatory compliance, strong inventory control, and optimized logistics performance across all distribution channels.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Warehouse Operations
- Oversee operations of all warehouses and storage facilities
- Ensure proper storage, handling, and dispatch processes
- Implement FEFO/FIFO, batch tracking, and expiry management
- Maintain warehouse safety, hygiene, and layout optimization
- Drive WMS implementation and warehouse automation
2. Inventory Planning & Control
- Lead demand planning and replenishment strategy
- Maintain optimal stock levels to prevent stock-outs and overstocking
- Monitor slow-moving and near-expiry inventory
- Collaborate with Sales, Procurement, and Finance for forecasting

- Ensure high inventory accuracy and reporting
3. Logistics & Distribution
- Manage national logistics network including 3PLs and courier partners
- Optimize freight costs and delivery timelines
- Oversee last-mile delivery performance for B2B and B2C orders
- Develop distribution models for Tier 2/3 expansion
- Implement reverse logistics and returns management systems
4. Compliance & Quality Coordination
- Ensure warehouse and distribution compliance with applicable healthcare and regulatory standards
- Maintain batch traceability and documentation systems
- Coordinate with QA and regulatory teams for audits and inspections
- Implement SOPs for controlled and regulated product handling where applicable
5. Process Improvement & Cost Optimization
- Drive supply chain digitization and ERP/WMS integration
- Establish SOPs, SLAs, and performance dashboards
- Identify and implement cost-saving initiatives
- Improve service levels and operational efficiency

6. Team Leadership

- Build and lead regional warehouse and logistics teams
- Define KPIs, KRAs, and performance review systems
- Develop second-line leadership and training frameworks
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelors/Masters degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Operations, or related field
- 12+ years of experience in supply chain, warehousing, and logistics
- Experience in pharma, healthcare, FMCG, or regulated product environments preferred
- Strong exposure to WMS, ERP, and supply chain digitization
