Business Unit Overview:
Operational Risk Management (ORM) is a 2nd line of defense governance function providing an integrated operational risk guidance, Non-Financial Risk advisory services enabling Powai to establish, maintain and improve a forward looking risk culture and best practices. The team has close engagements with Powai Divisions in promoting & sustaining global risk and control best practices, adherence to global operational risk policies thereby establishing a mind-set shift amongst all divisions in managing operational risk in the most forward looking manner. Operational Risk management framework are fully embedded in Powai across all divisions with adequate risk monitoring and event escalation mechanisms. In line with overarching vision of CRO and Powai leadership team, the function endeavors to build an eco-system, where operational risk is a central theme for all divisions in building a control conscious organization
Operational risk management (ORM) has 3 teams i.e. Powai ORM (Business advisory team), Reporting team & Risk Analysis, All the 3 teams within ORM reports to Powai Head of Operational risk management
This role is within Risk Analysis team based in Mumbai. This role will be primarily responsible for
- Support the regional onshore ORM team members in the production of Aggregated Business risk profile, committee reporting & analysis of risk data
- Produce specific Regional ORM deliverables as required including to support regulatory or management requests
- Support for any Deep Dive/analysis basis backward looking data (Risk Events, RCSA, KRI)

Role & Responsibilities
- Production of various Aggregated Risk Profiles packs for different Business Units, Committee Packs & Reports within agreed timeframe by maintaining data quality and accuracy in coordination with regional stakeholder
- Collation and analysis of a range of operational risk information (including RCSAs, KRIs, internal and external operational Risk events), consolidating and developing this information into Aggregated Risk Profiles, Operational Risk Committee, Cross Border Risk Committee and Risk Management Committees reports and others as required.
- Operational risk reporting and analysis, with a focus on streamlining and automating deliverables, including full adoption of Business Objects and data mining and analysis.
- Data Analytics and Visualization, Month on month/ Year on year Trend Analysis
- Monitoring and following up on closure of Operational Risk/events actions, RCSA attestation and other controls.
- Support Deep dives/control testing based on Operational Risk Taxonomy Level 1 aligned by creating standardized Risk data material
- Monitor the key risk indicators capturing, analysis and reporting (Global /Regional)
- Engage/Support UAT testing for Operational Risk management system (Opera)
- To communicate regularly with regional/Internal teams to coordinate for data requirement/submission for various senior leadership forum.
Candidate Summary:
Candidates for the position should:
- Have 6-8 years’ experience in an analysis and reporting function, preferably operational risk or other related function in the financial industry
- Have excellent Excel, data analysis and power point skills
- Have strong attention to detail and produce accurate reporting (Excel, Power point)
- Knowledge of Power BI/ BO-SRP would be an added advantage

Relevant investment and / or operational risk professional qualifications/ IT background are an advantage but not essential.
