Role Overview
We are looking for a highly skilled QA Engineer – Automation & Platform Quality to build and scale the automation testing practice for a multi-market, cross-border platform operating across the Asia-Pacific region. The platform includes consumer mobile applications (iOS & Android), a web-based admin panel, and API-driven services supporting multiple languages and jurisdictions.
This is a greenfield opportunity where the candidate will define the automation strategy, select tools/frameworks, and implement CI-integrated quality processes. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in test automation, mobile testing, API testing, CI/CD integration, and AI-assisted testing tools.
Key Responsibilities Automation Strategy & Framework Development

• Own and drive the end-to-end automation testing strategy across web, mobile, and API platforms
• Evaluate and implement suitable automation frameworks, tools, and AI-assisted testing solutions
• Build, maintain, and scale automation suites from scratch
  

CI/CD & Platform Quality

• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or similar tools
  
• Ensure automated tests run on every build, deployment, and pull request
• Establish quality gates and testing standards across environments
  

Mobile & API Testing

• Develop and maintain mobile automation frameworks for iOS and Android applications
• Extend and maintain Postman collections and API test suites with automated execution and assertions
• Define and manage device and OS coverage strategies
  

Test Management & Quality Standards

• Build and maintain a structured test case repository for manual and automated testing
• Review specifications during early development phases and identify testability and quality risks
• Create comprehensive test cases covering edge cases, negative scenarios, and workflow validations
  

Collaboration & Continuous Improvement

• Work closely with Engineering, Product, and DevOps teams in Agile environments
• Contribute to improving QA processes, standards, and automation maturity
• Stay updated with modern QA trends, AI-assisted testing platforms, and automation best practices
  

Required Skills & Experience

Get Hired

• 4+ years of experience in Software QA across web and mobile applications
• 2+ years of hands-on experience in test automation engineering
• Proven experience building or significantly enhancing automation frameworks from scratch
• Strong understanding of modern automation and AI-assisted testing tools (mabl, testRigor, Playwright with AI copilots, etc.)
• Hands-on experience in mobile test automation using Appium or similar tools
• Experience integrating automation into CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, etc.)
• Strong scripting skills in Python or JavaScript
• Experience with API testing including Postman collections, assertions, and automated execution
• Strong understanding of testing multi-step workflows, business rules, and state transitions
• Experience with multi-language and localization testing
• Ability to derive detailed test cases from functional and technical specifications
  

Nice to Have

• Experience working on enterprise or multi-market platforms
• Familiarity with cloud-based QA environments and device farms
• Exposure to performance or security testing
• Experience working in highly regulated domains or compliance-driven environments
