Job Summary
We are actively seeking a highly skilled and motivated Salesforce CPQ Developer to join our growing team. This role requires hands-on expertise with Salesforce CPQ, Sales Cloud, and related Salesforce development frameworks. As a Salesforce CPQ Developer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing customized CPQ (Configure, Price, Quote) solutions that directly align with the organizations business needs and improve quoting, pricing, and sales operations.
The ideal candidate must have extensive experience with Salesforce CPQ functionality including product configuration, pricing strategies, discounting workflows, and approval processes. This is a remote contract position with a strong potential for extension based on performance and project needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze and understand complex business requirements to design efficient and scalable Salesforce CPQ solutions.
- Design, configure, and customize CPQ functionality, including Product Rules, Price Rules, Quote Templates, Discount Schedules, and Advanced Approvals.
- Implement and manage Price Waterfall models to handle various pricing stages like list price, net price, and partner discounts.
- Develop and maintain custom Apex classes, triggers, Lightning Web Components (LWC), Visualforce pages, Flows, and Process Builders.
- Build integrations with external systems using Salesforce APIs (SOAP/REST), Platform Events, and Middleware if necessary.
- Support the full software development life cycle (SDLC), including analysis, design, coding, testing, deployment, and post-production support.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to quoting errors, pricing inconsistencies, product configuration challenges, and system performance.
- Follow Salesforce best practices for coding, security, and integration to maintain a stable, reliable, and secure Salesforce environment.
- Participate in data migration activities related to CPQ such as Product Catalog updates, Pricing adjustments, and Quote synchronization.
- Create detailed technical documentation, including solution designs, user guides, deployment plans, and training materials.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior developers or admins working on CPQ-related projects.
- Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders, product owners, architects, and Salesforce administrators to ensure successful project delivery.
- Minimum 5 years of hands-on Salesforce experience, including 3+ years specifically focused on Salesforce CPQ.
- Strong practical knowledge of Salesforce CPQ out-of-the-box features (Product Bundling, Product Options, Price Rules, Product Rules, Quote Templates).
- Experience implementing and troubleshooting complex Price Waterfall models and advanced discounting scenarios.
- Expertise in Apex programming, Lightning Web Components (LWC), Visualforce, SOQL/SOSL, and REST/SOAP API integration.
- Solid understanding of Salesforce security models (Profiles, Permission Sets, Role Hierarchies, Sharing Rules).
- Proficient in Salesforce declarative features like Flows, Validation Rules, Approval Processes, and Dynamic Forms.
- Experience using tools like Salesforce Inspector, Workbench, Data Loader, and Developer Console for development and troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with DevOps practices including CI/CD tools (such as Gearset, Copado, or similar).
- Strong database management skills and an understanding of relational data models within Salesforce.
- Excellent debugging, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.

- Salesforce certifications such as Salesforce CPQ Specialist, Salesforce Platform Developer I/II, or Sales Cloud Consultant.
- Experience integrating Salesforce CPQ with ERP or billing systems.
- Familiarity with Revenue Cloud and Field Service Lightning (FSL) modules is a plus.
- Exposure to Agile methodologies and tools like Jira and Confluence.
- Prior experience working in industries with complex pricing and quoting requirements such as SaaS, Telecom, or Manufacturing.
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to manage time effectively across multiple projects with competing deadlines.
- A strong sense of ownership, attention to detail, and commitment to delivering high-quality solutions.
- Self-starter attitude with a passion for continuous learning and staying current with Salesforce updates.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while collaborating as part of a global team.
- Flexibility to align with occasional US time zone meetings is required.
