About NSRCEL
NSRCEL is the startup hub and incubation centre of IIM Bangalore. Our mission is to support and scale ventures that demonstrate innovation, impact, and execution across a wide range of industries. NSRCEL connects industry, academia, and policy to foster a thriving entrepreneurial ecosystem. In FY 23-24 alone, NSRCEL incubated 1,347 ventures from 25 states, creating significant economic and societal impact.
About the Team
Fundraising is one of the core functions of NSRCEL. Our vision at NSRCEL is to deliver nation-scale impact and be recognized as a leader in incubation and entrepreneurial learning. Being a not-for-profit organization, we are continuously looking for funds to achieve our vision and expand to building ecosystems for underserved areas of innovation. The function also continuously engages with current donors and partners which are a mix of government departments, corporates, individuals and foundations.
About the Role
As an Assistant Manager- Fundraising & Partnerships, you will play a critical role in shaping the financial sustainability and growth of NSRCEL by building strong partnerships, securing funding, and driving innovative fundraising initiatives. You will be responsible for developing and executing a strategic roadmap to support both existing and new partnerships, focusing on scaling NSRCELs mission of creating nationwide impact in entrepreneurship.

  • Lead Gen & Donor Analysis: Spot potential donors everywhereacross social media, networking events, or even at the coffee shop! Gather insights, track trends, and turn data into your fundraising superpower.
  • Proposal Writing & Grant Applications: Craft winning proposals and grants (bring your best pitches and biggest ideas). Track down funding opportunities from corporates, government, and global foundations. If its out there, youll find it
  • Collaboration with Internal Teams: Work closely with the marketing, finance, and incubation teams to integrate fundraising strategies into broader organizational objectives.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Create updates that show the difference every donation makes. Keep our partners in the loop with impact stories, progress reports, and the occasional celebration!
  • Database Management: Keep our donor and fundraising records sharp, organized, and ready for action with state-of-the-art CRM tools and great attention to detail

Requirements
  • 4+ years of proven experience in fundraising, partnerships, or business development roles, preferably in the non-profit, social impact, or startup sectors.
  • Bachelors/Masters degree in business, non-profit management, marketing, communications, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated interest and experience in assisting to secure large-scale funding from corporates, foundations, or government sources
  • Experience in organizing and executing related donor engagement/other events.
  • Proficiency in CRM systems, fundraising software, and Microsoft Office Suite. Experience with digital fundraising platforms is a plus.
  • A deep commitment to NSRCELs mission of fostering entrepreneurship and creating societal impact. Passion for working in a dynamic, fast-paced startup environment.
