Windows Vmware Administrator L2

We are looking for someone who can join in 60 days / serving notice

Daily Responsibilities

• Manage client requests, maintenance activities, and platform updates for customer environments
• Provide L2 technical support for complex incident resolution and root cause analysis
• Ensure optimal operation of production infrastructure including Wintel, VMware, and Azure environments with comprehensive monitoring and alerting
• Design and implement High Availability and Disaster Recovery solutions for mission-critical systems
• Provide accurate estimates for infrastructure projects, continuous improvement initiatives, and proactive maintenance activities
• Lead troubleshooting efforts for escalated issues across Windows Server, VMware, and Azure platforms
• Complete assigned tasks and provide regular progress reports, including risk assessment and issue management, to Project Managers and Infrastructure Team Leads
• Mentor junior team members and contribute to knowledge base documentation

Technical Skills (Mandatory)

• Expert-level knowledge of Microsoft Windows Server 2016, 2019, 2022, and latest versions
• Advanced expertise in designing, deploying, and managing High Availability and Disaster Recovery architectures using Azure Site Recovery, VMware Live Recovery or similar technologies.
• Deep understanding of Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, and certificate services
• Strong experience with VMware vSphere 7.x/8.x, vCenter, ESXi, vMotion, and DRS
• Proficiency with VMware NSX for network virtualization, micro-segmentation, and distributed firewall management
• Experience with VMware Cloud Director (VCD) for multi-tenant cloud infrastructure management and service provider environments
• Knowledge of Avi Load Balancer (VMware NSX Advanced Load Balancer) for application delivery and load balancing in virtualized environments
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure services including Azure VMs, Microsoft Entra ID, and hybrid cloud architectures
• Proficiency in Azure Virtual Networks (VNet), subnets, Network Security Groups (NSGs), and Azure ExpressRoute for hybrid connectivity
• Experience with Azure Storage solutions including Blob Storage, File Storage, and managed disks for IaaS workloads
• Knowledge of Azure Virtual Machine scale sets for auto-scaling and high availability scenarios
• Hands-on experience with Azure Bastion and Just-In-Time (JIT) VM access for secure remote management
• Understanding of Azure Resource Manager (ARM) templates and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices for automated deployments
• Experience with Azure Cost Management and optimization strategies for IaaS resources
• Experience with PowerShell scripting for automation and infrastructure management

• Knowledge of monitoring tools (LogicMonitor, Azure Monitor, or similar)
• Understanding of networking concepts, firewalls, and security best practices
• Experience with backup and recovery solutions (Veeam, Azure Backup, or equivalent)
• Minimum 8 years of hands-on experience with Microsoft Server and VMware products in enterprise environments
• Microsoft certifications required: MCSA/MCSE or equivalent role-based certifications (Azure Administrator Associate, Windows Server Hybrid Administrator Associate)
• Azure certifications strongly preferred (AZ-104, AZ-305, or higher)
• VMware certifications (VCP-DCV) are a plus

Experience Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent field
• Minimum 6-8 years of practical experience in enterprise infrastructure administration and support
• Experience working in IT service provider, managed services, or enterprise IT environments
• Proven track record of managing complex infrastructure projects and leading technical initiatives
• Experience with ITIL processes and incident/change management frameworks

Language Skills

• Fluent in written and spoken English (mandatory)
• Ability to create technical documentation and communicate effectively with global teams
