Job Description
- As a Managed Services Cross Technology Engineer (L1) at NTT DATA, your primary responsibility will be to provide managed services to clients, ensuring the continuous operation of their IT infrastructure and systems by proactively identifying, investigating, and resolving technical incidents and problems. You will play a crucial role in restoring service to clients and managing incidents to resolution, with the ultimate goal of meeting service level agreement conditions.
Your key responsibilities will include monitoring client infrastructure, identifying and resolving problems and errors, investigating and identifying root causes of incidents, providing support to clients via telephone or chat, scheduling maintenance activities, and ensuring comprehensive resolutions of incidents and requests. You will also be involved in updating knowledge articles, identifying optimization opportunities, and contributing to project work when required.
To excel in this role, you must possess strong communication skills, the ability to work well under pressure, and a proactive approach to problem-solving. A positive outlook, adaptability to changing circumstances, and a client-centric mindset are key attributes that will contribute to your success in this position.
In terms of qualifications, a Bachelor's degree in IT/Computing or equivalent, along with relevant certifications such as CCNA, Microsoft Certified, Azure Administrator Associate, AWS Certified, Solutions Architect Associate, and others, will be advantageous. Additionally, entry-level experience in troubleshooting and support within a medium to large ICT organization, basic knowledge of ITIL processes, and familiarity with network and security concepts are required.
Your technical skills should include an understanding of LAN, Wi-Fi, WAN terminology, IP subnetting, routing protocols, firewall concepts, and network monitoring tools. Experience with network operations and the ability to provide 1st level network monitoring, fault finding, and escalation are essential. Strong analytical skills, problem-solving abilities, and excellent written and oral communication skills are also crucial for success in this role.
