As a Staff Product Designer at Okta, specifically joining the Workforce Identity Cloud (WIC) design team, you will play a crucial role in defining product experiences focused on growing the Independent Software Vendor (ISV) ecosystem. This position involves collaborating with senior stakeholders across the organization to define services and journeys for partners to build integrations with Okta. Additionally, you will work with product development teams to bring these ideas to life and drive high-quality, user-centric outcomes for customers.
As a Staff Product Designer, your responsibilities will include leading and shaping product design strategies with a focus on user-centered, human-first design. Collaborating closely with product managers, engineers, and other designers to transform concepts into elegant, scalable solutions is key. Facilitating workshops and co-design sessions, partnering with cross-functional teams to ensure consistent user experiences, and mentoring and supporting junior designers are also part of the role.
Ideal candidates for this position have experience leading design initiatives, enjoy problem-solving to create intuitive solutions for complex workflows, and believe in sharing knowledge to build up the skills of those around them. Curiosity, adaptability, and a passion for staying updated on design and technology trends are valued qualities. Navigating both strategic and detailed design conversations and contributing a systems-thinking mindset to the team are important aspects of the role.
