New Product Development Manager

About the Role

We are looking for a hands-on R&D / New Product Development (NPD) Professional with strong experience in developing innovative food and beverage products from concept to commercialization.

Location: Delhi NCR

Experience: 4–8 Years

Responsibilities

• Develop new food and beverage products from concept to commercialization.
• Formulate and optimize recipes for dairy and beverage products such as milkshakes, flavored milk, protein drinks, lassi, yogurt drinks, smoothies, and other dairy-based beverages.
• Conduct lab-scale, pilot-scale, and plant trials.
• Perform sensory evaluation, stability studies, and shelf-life testing.
  
• Evaluate and optimize ingredients, flavors, stabilizers, emulsifiers, and processing parameters.
• Troubleshoot formulation and processing issues during scale-up and commercialization.
• Prepare product specifications, process documentation, and technical reports.
• Work closely with QA, Production, Procurement, Packaging, Marketing, and Supply Chain teams to ensure successful product launches.
• Ensure compliance with FSSAI and other applicable regulatory requirements.
• Drive product improvements and cost optimization initiatives.

Qualifications

Strong hands-on experience in food formulation and new product development.

Required Skills

• Experience in dairy and beverage product development.
• Good knowledge of UHT, Retort, or aseptic processing.
• Experience in prototype development, plant trials, and commercialization.
• Hands-on experience with sensory evaluation, shelf-life studies, and stability testing.
• Good understanding of food ingredients, hydrocolloids, emulsifiers, flavors, and processing technologies.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and cross-functional collaboration skills.

• Preferred Industry: Dairy, Beverages, Food Processing, or FMCG.
• Preferred Companies: Mother Dairy, Amul, Dabur, ITC, Hersheys, Nestlé, Parag Milk Foods, Lactalis, Heritage Foods, Schreiber, Britannia, PepsiCo, Coca-Cola, or similar food and beverage organizations.
