Job Description

The Safety Officer is responsible for ensuring a safe and healthy work environment on construction sites. This role involves identifying potential hazards, implementing safety policies, and promoting a culture of safety among all workers. The Safety Officer must conduct regular site inspections to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with safety regulations. They develop and implement safety policies and procedures, provide safety training and education to all workers, and investigate accidents and incidents to determine causes and recommend corrective actions. Monitoring the use of safety equipment, responding to workers" safety concerns, and maintaining records of safety-related incidents and reports are also part of the responsibilities. Collaborating with contractors and subcontractors to ensure adherence to safety standards and conducting emergency response drills for preparedness are essential tasks.

Qualifications required for this role include a Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Construction Management, or a related field. The ideal candidate should possess skills in risk assessment, hazard identification, safety policy development, implementation, and training, accident investigation, and emergency response planning. Strong attention to detail, problem-solving abilities, analytical thinking, excellent communication and presentation skills, proficiency in CRM software, Microsoft Office Suite, willingness to travel for site visits, and client meetings are also necessary. The Safety Officer should be capable of preparing MIS reports, updating documents, and working full-time during day shifts with a performance bonus. The work location is in person.,
